Aerotek Mechanical Assembler in Houston, Texas

Description:

  • A mid-size pump services and manufacturing facility has an immediate need for a Pump Assembly Technician to join their team.

  • Candidate will be working with hand tools, power tools, and doing mechanical assembly of pumps that will later be mounted on skid units.

  • Must have experience reading and interpreting blueprints.

  • Experience balancing and aligning impellers is a plus.

Top Five Must Haves:

- 5+ years of mechanical experience on rotating equipment

- pump experience / compressor experience / rotating equipment experience

- ability to drill and tap holes

- ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, GA's, P&ID's

Preferred:

- extensive experience doing alignments, inspection, reading drawings, using mics and calipers

First shift position 6AM - 4PM Monday-Fri an occasional Saturday
