Aramco Services Company R&D Innovation Management Team Lead (1239) in Houston, Texas
Basic Function
Serves as a supervisor for Innovation Portfolio Management Team. Working directly with R&D management and staff across three research centers (Houston, Boston, and Detroit) and Aramco Stakeholders globally to manage innovation business processes, such intellectual property, external publications, key performance indicators and operations business plan. Provides the professional counsel and guidance relating to the monitoring and control of corporate business. Provides guidance and assistance in the preparation of the ASC operating and business plan strategies. This job applies to ASC and its subsidiary organizations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Generate insights through data analysis such that R&D projects are prioritized in alignment with Stakeholders, short and long-term goals
Facilitate suggestions for maximization of R&D value to the business
Consolidate and deliver reporting on the KPIs for R&D, while identifying performance improvement opportunities
Prepare and present business plans, accountability reports and performance reviews with R&D leadership and stakeholders
Ensure effective cascading of KPIs, goals and targets
Drive standardization and focus on process improvements and simplifications
Accurately drive project data quality, and ensure information is readily available in the systems and accessible by all stakeholders
Provides systems (aims, Time Sheet, & Ideation) trainings as needed
Implement and design change Management strategies to ensure high levels of process adherence
Organize, prepare, and distribute bi-annual technology review newsletter
Manage publication, patent, awards, technology delivery business process
Contribute to continuous business and innovation system process improvements
Coordinate external collaborations including review, KPI reporting and processing
Serve as the point of contact for requests from global stakeholders. Including data requests, performance reviews, KPI’s and project updates
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in science, Engineering or closely related specialty; engineering or science degree or MBA is highly desirable
Twelve years’ experience in the petroleum, petrochemical R&D or other related industry
In-depth understanding and experience with R&D organization and innovation
Expert knowledge of Stage Gate & project management process
Effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
Portfolio Management software, like Planisware is highly preferred.
