ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Warehouse Associate will support prefabrication and manufacturing operations by receiving materials, transporting and organizing materials for production, and loading completed products onto trucks for job site deliveries. The Warehouse Associate will safely operate a forklift and maintain an orderly warehouse.

  • Load and unload trucks with construction supplies and materials as they are shipped out or returning from jobsites.

  • Scrap and waste material handling.

  • Operate Forklift as needed.

  • Collecting and safely transporting materials to the shipping bay.

  • Receiving and documenting merchandise for delivery or return.

  • Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping

  • General warehouse housekeeping.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 1 year warehouse experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of materials and tools used in the electrical industry preferred.

  • Forklift Operator certification preferred.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.

  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Basic skills such as inspection, math and reading.

  • Ability to work overtime occasionally as needed.

  • Ability to successfully pass a background check and Motor Vehicle Report.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This job operates in a warehouse environment and is exposed to weather conditions.

  • Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) per warehouse requirements, including but not limited to, hard toe work boots, safety glasses, gloves and, high visibility vest.

  • This role occasionally uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines.

  • Employees are frequently required to sit, stand, and occasionally required to bend, kneel, reach, stoop, or crouch.

  • This position may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
