An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Advanced understanding of ESD controls, soldering, epoxy mixing, bonding, assembly and packaging techniques, as well as handling of Electro Mechanical assemblies. Essential duties include, but are not limited to: - Proficient spool wrapping, cable handling and testing techniques. Some mechanical troubleshooting skills; - Proficient cable harness and PCB assembly; - Proficient mechanical assembly of small parts and good understanding of torque requirements; - Proficient fiber optic terminations, polishing and testing; - Proficient at interpreting blueprints and adhering to instructions; - Proficient high voltage potting and high voltage testing skills - Shall be certified to IDC Specialist and J-STD-001 - Work with Heat/Smells and maintain oily/greasy machinery - ***Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance at the Secret level.*** **QUALIFICATIONS** The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job successfully. **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE** High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and six (6) or more years of related electronics assembly experience. J-STD-001 Certification preferred. **LANGUAGE SKILLS** Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
