Job Description Summary

The Corporate Audit Services (CAS) Data Analytics Project Manager is responsible for managing CAS data visualization reporting and for working on advanced analytics projects that gather and integrate large volumes of data to perform analysis, interpret results and develop actionable insights and recommendations for use across the company. The Data Analytics Project Manager will regularly interact with the audit teams, as well as others in the lines of business.

Job Description

The Data Analytics Project Manager is responsible for leading data visualization efforts across CAS: providing ad-hoc coaching on data vis tools, knowledge-sharing, setting documentation standards, maintaining documentation, managing the technical aspects, monitoring, and reporting on usage as needed, and license onboarding and transfers.

Responsible for working on advanced data analytics projects that gather and integrate large volumes of data, performs analysis, interprets results, and develops actionable insights and recommendations.

Presents data and analysis in a clear and concise manner allowing the audience to quickly understand the results and recommendations so they can make data driven decisions. Collaborate with various partners to provide a holistic view of the analysis.

Ensures all data acquisition, sharing and results of applied recommendations are compliant with company standards.

Duties

-Coaching data visualization tool users as needed (includes brainstorming visualization usage ideas, offering innovative solutions, and guiding users in completing their work products).

-Liaising regularly with the CAS audit teams to enable more comprehensive audit testing and to increase the use of data visualizations overall. Includes recommending data analytics results sets to be accompanied with data visualizations and assisting CAS audit teams in understanding the results.

-Developing complex data visualizations and data analytics across multiple platforms. Includes performing thorough testing and fully and accurately documenting work performed to support conclusions reached.

-Keeping CAS informed of data visualization product enhancements, resources, and best practices and maintaining any useful tool documentation.

-Monitoring, and reporting on, visualization tool usage, as needed.

-Onboarding and coordination of data visualization license transfers, as needed.

-Interfacing with Technology Operations Services (TOS) and the lines of business.

-Supervising less-experienced Data Analytics staff.

-Performing other duties as requested by CAS Management.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • seven or more years of statistical and/or data analytics experience

  • Experience in analytics, advanced analytics/statistics, predictive modeling with tools such as SQL, R, Python, Excel, Hadoop, SAS, SPSS, Geo-spatial tools and others to perform analysis and interpret data

  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $116,280.00 - $136,800.00 - $150,480.00
