Description:

Islip-based HVAC contractor is looking for an Estimator to join their team! This company specializes in commercial MEP projects, including large-scale work like hospitals, high-rises, and hotels.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the commercial MEP construction sector and will be responsible for:

• Reviewing and analyzing project specs, drawings, and other documentation required to prepare detailed cost estimates.

• Collaborate with project managers and others to understand project scope and requirement.

• Prepare bid proposals, budgets, and cost estimates.

• Perform quantity take-offs and develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.

• Participate in pre-bid meetings, occasional site visits, and client presentations.

• Monitor project costs and provide ongoing support to project managers during the construction phase.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Experience with Building Automation Systems is a plus

Experience with Autodesk suite is a plus
