What Will You Do?
Role:Apply electronic theory and technical knowledge toward testing and evaluation of products during the manufacture of custom lighting solutions. Provide manufacturing support with a strong emphasis on troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues. Work with a diverse team of manufacturing, quality, purchasing, planning, engineering, and field service professionals to facilitate root cause analysis and determine corrective action to improve efficiency in the manufacturing process.
Main Job Duties:
Provide electrical technical support to assembly, surface mount technology operations, and driver tuning operations teams
During the assembly process, inspect products for adherence to quality specifications. Report findings related to quality issues with recommendations for resolving issues
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and field service to identify and implement solutions for technical design problems that occur during the manufacturing assembly process.
Adjust and replace broken electrical components and circuitry
Assemble and test circuitry or electronic components according to engineering instructions, blueprints, and diagrams
Build, calibrate, and repair electrical instruments or testing equipment
Clarify build details related to electrical questions from employees responsible for building lighting fixtures
Identify and resolve factory test issues to improve test yields over time
Diagnose and repair malfunctioning light fixtures during the manufacturing process
Inspect incoming electronics components, as required. Verify and document supplier defects using established processes.
Assist in developing quality requirements and delivering performance feedback to Kenall suppliers
Acts as quality ambassador responsible for promoting and maintaining use of Legrand Way manufacturing excellence system
Qualifications
Skills:
Must be able to use electrical and mechanical measurement tools (voltage meters, oscilloscopes, calipers, pin gauges, specialized lighting industry test equipment)
Must be proficient at Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Must be experienced in the use of pivot tables, data analysis, and data reporting
Must be able to read and understand wiring diagrams, prints, and drawings
Must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills necessary to garner support across departments
Must be flexible and adaptable
Must have good mathematical and analytical skills in a custom product environment where only limited standardization exists
Education:Associate of Science, or Electronics Trade School
Experience:Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable
