Salary Range

USD $25.00/Hr. - USD $29.00/Hr.

Overview

The Job in a Nutshell:

The Payroll Coordinator will ensure the collection of all necessary information and documents, compute wages, and investigate and resolve any payroll issues or discrepancies.

A successful candidate should be able to efficiently coordinate payroll tasks and strictly follow company policies and legal regulations. An outstanding Payroll Coordinator should also possess strong people skills, as this position will spend significant time interacting with managers and crew members. You should have extraordinary mathematical skills and solid analytical abilities. Paying close attention to details for accuracy is an essential requirement for this job position.

Responsibilities

Main Ingredients:

  • Process a multi-state bi-weekly payroll for approximately 4,000 employees.

  • Ensure timely and accurate calculations of wages, tax withholdings, and employee deductions.

  • Process off-cycle payments as needed, including terminations based on state requirements.

  • Responsible for data entry in Ceridian’s Dayforce; performing audits to ensure accuracy.

  • Resolve payroll discrepancies, including wage payments, deductions, and tax withholding.

  • Develop and maintain payroll process documentation, as well as manager and crew training documentation.

  • Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.

  • Serve as a back-up for other members of the team, including payroll and benefits.

  • Answers questions and addresses payroll issues from both Crew and Manager level staff

Qualifications

Recipe for Success:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required

  • Minimum 2 years of multi-state payroll experience

  • Possess excellent phone etiquette and is customer service driven

  • Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills

  • Possess strong organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Able to work independently with little supervision and willingness to follow direction on given assignments as required

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and basic knowledge of MS Word and Outlook is required.

  • Experience with Ceridian’s Dayforce a plus

  • Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions based on findings

  • Prior experience managing confidential information
