3rd Shift Machine Operator

Lansing, MI

Monday-Thursday 6:00pm-4:30am (4- 10-hour shifts)

Pay Rate: $19.50 per hour

PPE used includes uniforms, lab coats, rubber steel-toed boots, respirators of different kinds, hair nets, safety glasses, and goggles, and at times, Tyvek suites, rubber gloves, and sleeves.  

3rd Shift Machine Operator Job description:

• Assemble and package devices and diagnostic test kits using semi-automated assembly equipment.
• Label components.
• Complete production paperwork including quantities produced, scrapped, in-process, etc.
• Dispenses Liquid Media using automated assembly equipment 
• Required to wear a full-face respirator when mixing certain products
• Weighing out powders into new containers to support bulk production
• Physically loading mills with media
• Physically loading the blender with media once it is done in the mill
• Closing machines, setting timer
• Dispense material with use of foot pedal into containers by weight
• Moving these containers, sealing containers and labeling
• Daily cleaning of machines and vats  

3rd Shift Machine Operator Requirements:

- - High School Diploma or G.E.D. - Lift up to 120lbs with assistance - Work in a hot environment - Walk up and down 4 flights of stairs multiple times per day - Ability to wear a full-face respirator and Tyvek suit when needed - Cannot be afraid to get dirty
