A Printing Company in Largo, FL is looking for an entry-level Color Matcher to join their team! Your responsibilites are to match ink colors to each specific print job based on size and quantity. This will involve mixing colors and inspecting materials to ensure that the colors are uniform throughout. As an assitant, you will be apprenticing under the head Color Matcher who has been in the role for over 30 years. You will be measured by your ability to use as much material as possible during the manufacturing process and ensure that there is little to no waste material, or scrap. You must comply with company safety rules and regulations in machinery operation and assistance. Requires bending, lifting, standing, walking. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds. Company is a non-air conditioned facility, but this role is mostly done in AC, and the facility does have spot chillers. Hydration is essential during the hot months. The company is looking for a hard worker who is curious and eager to learn.Candidate must have background in paint industry where they mixed and matches colors. The role will start out as temporary with the intention to be brought on permantly, based on performance. Base pay of $15/hr to start, but is moved up based on performance and/or being brought on permanently.
