TAD PGS, Inc. Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician in Liberty, Mississippi

We have an outstanding Contract position for aQuality Assurance Laboratory Technicianto join a leading Company located in theLiberty, MSsurrounding area.

The Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician will have to perform daily tasks with respect to the receiving and final inspection of products.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform acceptance inspection and testing of all procured components, sub-assemblies, and raw materials as required

  • Perform final inspection and acceptance of all customer spare parts orders

  • Complete all applicable forms related to the inspection process

  • Follow all documented procedures and best inspection practices

  • Understand and perform qualifications of received fabrics, materials, and other supplies

  • Perform qualification tests (Flame, Tear, Radiant Heat, and Tensile) and generate test results

  • Communicate and coordinate activities and results as needed, with other facilities

  • Perform monthly calibration and ensure data is recorded in calibration software

  • Other duties as assigned

    Basic Hiring Criteria :

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

    Desired Qualifications :

  • Certified Quality Technician (CQT) is recommended

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, general business correspondence, technical procedures, procedure manuals, and government regulations

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

  • The ability to review all supplier documentation for completeness and conformance to applicable specifications

  • Shows an aptitude for work with measurement equipment such as verniers, calipers, height gages, pressure gages, and other measurement equipment that is used in a receiving inspection environment

  • Shows an aptitude for work dealing with fabrics

  • Should have the ability to operate specialized test equipment such as tensile testers, flame cabinets, radiant heat testers, etc

  • Should develop the ability to make adjustments to inspection instructions and inspection sampling levels

  • Have the capability to understand and review supplier Statistical Process Control submittal

  • Have the ability to operate, maintain, and calibrate all Measuring, Test, and Inspection Equipment
