2nd Shift: Monday through Thursday 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. OR 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Time and a half for hours over 10 in a day, and of course 40 in a week. $2 an hour shift differential. Position SummaryPosition is focused primarily on the setup and operation of a Y-axis CNC Lathe. Applies inspection techniques to monitor the CNC process. Collaborates with colleagues to maximize productivity in the precision manufacturing of the highest quality valves & actuators for aerospace and power generation customers. ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret complex blue prints, shop travelers, and operation sketches for machined and/or fabricated parts.Inspect parts to specifications and document results.Installing fixtures and setting work offsets.Using an offline tool pre-setter, prepare and set tools needed for machining operations.Accurately and efficiently diagnose deviations and trends; adjust offsets to maintain quality product based on the analysis.Report machinery, tooling or quality issues to supervisor.Run multiple machine centers as required.Perform additional duties as assigned. Education and ExperienceMust be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.Experience in set-up and operation of multi axis CNC machinery: 3 axis lathes minimum; 4/5 axis horizontal mills and pallet line experience a plus.High School Graduate or equivalent; technical certification or degree a plus.Ability to work from complex drawings containing GD&T.Ability to perform accurate manual inspections of parts produced.Solid understanding of G-code. Ability to program machines a plus.Experience with low volume, high mix production a plus.
