Lab Technician (12-month contract) St. Paul, MN
Volt has partnered with a growing manufacturing company in search of a Lab Technician! In this exciting role, you will use manual skills to prepare, operate, and maintain equipment involved with product testing.
Experienced laboratory technician with excellent attention to details.
Extensive knowledge of equipment: IMass, MTS/Instron, Pneumatic Applicators, pH Meter, Brookfield, Rheometer, Goniometer, Gloss Meter, Speed Mixer, OPG.
Proficient with Excel - create spreadsheets: including formulations and graphs.
Consultant for Product Engineers in the set up and analysis of accelerated aging studies.
Project management skills able to handle multiple projects at one time.
Proficient in the following Test Methods.
Support Fillers, Adhesives, Coatings, & Sealers (FAC&S) group with product testing in the laboratory.
Support the Auto Care Group with product development testing in the laboratory.
Back up support for masking, PPS, & Product Development.
Formal Education/Field of Knowledge: High school/G.E.D. level of education or associates degree or equivalent experience through training is normally required to apply knowledge of laboratory procedures and methods. Must have basic computer skills.
Also required are basic mathematical, coordinating and communication skills. Must be mechanically inclined, have good attention to detail, organizational skills, and able to coordinate multiple projects at the same time.
