Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Designer to join a large shipbuilding company in Marinette Wisconsin. This person will be sitting on the electrical functional detail design group.

They will be outfitting the electrical components and receive engineering change notices and start working on them. They will turn functional design drawings to create a detailed design drawing. They will understand 2D layouts and turn those into 3D models. They will pass these layouts and designs to the production team for them to start building the ships.

Skills and Requirements

- 5-10 years of experience outfitting electrical components, receiving engineer change notices, and turning 2d layouts into 3d models

• Strong background and understanding in electrical functions and detail designs

- 2D and 3D modeling understanding

- Ability to understand and read functional design drawings and revisions.

- Shipbuilding/Maritime background

- AutoCAD

- Ship-constructor. - Electrical background working with cable and wire ways.

- Ability to problem solve for technical issues. null
