Yulista Quality Aviation Inspector II JR104737 in Meridianville, Alabama

Performs duties as Quality Aviation inspector: inspects work performed by aircraft mechanics, modifications, or repairs/overhaul of aircraft and/or aircraft systems. Ensures conformance to service guidance, engineering specifications, and customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Adherence to service guidance, aviation standards, engineering drawings/blueprints, and company standard operating procedures (SOP). Performs inspections of maintenance tasks, inspects field level modifications, performs periodic phase inspections, inspects completed repair tasks on aircraft or uninstalled components. Inspects for airworthiness and quality of aircraft maintenance and alterations. Releases aircraft for flight, as applicable Documents non-conformance/malfunctions in applicable logbooks or workbooks Completes non-conformance and corrective action reports as required (NCR) Verify/witness torque, verify completeness of critical safety items (CSI) Provides OK to Install for aircraft component parts Conducts weight and balance tasks as required Follow/adhere to company FOD SOP and tool control procedures Performs receiving inspections on DOD or FAA parts Identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities Inspects for airworthiness and quality of aircraft maintenance and alterations May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members or assist maintenance leaders Carry out inspection duties at both Domestic and International locations as assigned Must be willing to work Swing shift schedule to support projects if applicable Other duties as directed by assigned Quality Supervision.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: Experience in the following related programs: Aircraft records management, Tool and FOD training, Safety, Security, Hazardous Waste Management Proficiency in AS9100/AS9110 and DCMAI 8210 Maintain certifications for Portable Penetrant and NDI testing as required Must be able to obtain a passport Must be able to travel to Customers or Suppliers location (25%) (NDI Level 2) Inspects metallic and nonmetallic materials, parts and assemblies for defects using automated and manual methods and techniques including radiography, ultrasound, penetrant, eddy current, and magnetic particle. Requires certifications in non-destructive testing in accordance with regulations (ASNT/NAS410). If applicable.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum sixteen years of aviation experience required with eight years working with standards, policies, and regulatory requirements (Government/Military) Must have completed military aviation maintenance training or aviation maintenance technical school curriculum or possess an FAA issued AandP license Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance Must have ability to obtain common access card This position requires a minimum of a High School diploma/GED
