Advanced Medical Transport Paramedic Shift Lead Quad Cities in Milan, Illinois

As a Paramedic Shift Lead you will provide daily support to our customers and caregivers in the Quad Cities Market through continuous direct contact and provide a secondary point of contact, alternative to the Operations Manager for staff. This is a 24/48 rotation.

Job Duties:

  1. Completes the job duties of a Paramedic in accordance with respective EMS System Protocols.
  2. Provide a secondary point of contact with team caregivers. Treats employees equitably and professionally. Must be able to assume leadership role in the absence of Operations Manager. Maintain calm and professional demeanor in stressful situations.
  3. Is empowered to provide immediate problem/conflict resolution by utilizing sound decision-making procedures, common sense and experience. Makes low level decisions as needed.
  4. Actively listens to team members\' input, concerns and participates in developing problem solving ideas. Effectively communicates all staff concerns, input, feedback etc. to the Operations Manager and/or appropriate Leadership
  5. Conducts himself/herself professionally and as a role model at all times.
  6. Understand AMTs mission statement, philosophies, and clinical standards and carry out those duties during the shift. Provide daily support to caregivers as needed.
  7. Will provide leadership and recognition to our caregivers through coaching, confidence building and utilization of the C.A.R.E.S. program.
  8. Promotes and provides a safe working environment for all caregivers, following all company safety policies and practices. Conducts himself/herself as a role model regarding company safety policies and practices.
  9. Demonstrates knowledge and ability to comply with guidelines set forth in the AMT Corporate Compliance Manual & Code of Conduct. Strictly adheres to the Employee Standards set forth in the Code of Conduct.
  10. Develops and grows their managerial and leadership style, by seeking out educational opportunities and receiving mentoring from a secondary manager or leader.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Valid high school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Valid respective Department of Public Health Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic Licensure and National Registry defined by market, ACLS, and PHTLS.
  3. Valid State Drivers License.
  4. Computer skills.
  5. Two (2) years of experience in a high performance system, or prior manager experience.
