Job Title: Commodity Manager

Location : Milpitas, CA (Hybrid)

Industry : Computer Hardware Manufacturing - Data Storage Solutions

Pay Range : up to $40/hr

Term : 7-Month Contract

Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing

• Conduct RFP and lead cross-functional teams through supplier selection process

• Collaborate with IT/Legal stakeholders to optimize value with supply base

• Analyze spend/contract/proposal for software licensing, hardware, servers, data center, and telecom services

• Lead negotiations on commercial procurement agreements

Category Management:

• Develop and implement category strategies for technology products/services

• Cultivate cross-functional stakeholder relationships

• Monitor internal/external trends and distill into actionable opportunities

Contract Management

• Evaluate and recommend improvements to contract and sourcing processes

• Ensure pricing and deliverables as negotiated are included in contracts

• Act as liaison between Legal and the business

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years in indirect strategic SaaS sourcing, emphasizing software and hardware, preferably with a multinational organization

• Contract negotiation, vendor management, and influencing skills required

• Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
