JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the MNT Dietitian is to be part of the healthcare team to provide nutrition counseling and education to Piedmont HealthServices' patients.Evaluate the patient's nutritional status and requirements, evaluate patient readiness and confidence to make changes, and develop and helppatients implement nutrition care plans.Communicate nutrition care plans to the physicians and other health professionals.Perform tasks that will make MNT financially stable.

MINIMIUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Licensure/Experience:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution approved by the ACEND (Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics) with a major in nutrition and a Registered Dietitian. Spanish speaking required. Interested in becoming a certified diabetes educator or is a diabetes educator preferred. Clinical dietetics experience preferred.

Ability to teach; analytical thinking

Ability to provide care to all age groups of patients; knowledge of clinical dietetics

Must be able to work under pressure

Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
