FirstService Residential Events Director - Resort Living Community in Monroe Township, New Jersey

Job Overview:Â Â

As an Events DirectorÂyou’llbe responsible forprovidingdirection and focus to all events and activities calendar for a resort style community - This includes programming and oversight of all fitness, aquatics, one day & extended travel,special events, classes, workshops, and charter club operations.ÂÂ

Your Responsibilities:Â Â

  • Providesstaff support and guidance to the Community Manager, to the Association Board of Directors and other teamdepartmentsas necessary.Â
  • Plan,coordinateand implement programs,classesand special community-wide events.Â
  • Hire, supervise, educate, motivate,scheduleand evaluate events staff
  • Providestaff direction on mission development and its relation to program development, delivery,and Board directed budget goals.Â
  • Develop and manage events budgetprovidingrecommendations to the Association FinanceCommittee.Â
  • Acts as liaison to related committees as neededÂ
  • Working with events team coordinators to develop processes to ensure the consistent delivery ofhigh qualityprograms.Â
  • Monitor trends in events programming to help motivate team coordinators to create diversity inprogram offeringsÂ
  • Working with the resident committees to review room usage to mainstream and maximize programspace availabilityÂ

Skills & Qualifications:Â Â

  • An undergraduate degree in one or a combination of the following fields: business, hospitality, parksand recreation, real estate/service operationsÂ
  • Proficient level of computer skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and use ofgraphics.Â
  • Experience in undertaking market and competitive researchÂ
  • A strong desireto work in self-motivating, passionately driven customer service organizationÂ
  • Experience delivering effective presentations and educational material to a variety of audiencesÂ

  • Ability to travelapproximately upto 25%Â

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Â
  • Broad-based leadership/management experience ÂÂ
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, judgement and decision-making abilities are necessary.ÂÂ
  • Proficiencyin computer programs like Microsoft Office, Outlook and Windowsrequired.ÂÂ
  • Ability to work with sensitive and/or confidential information.ÂÂ

$65,000.00 - $70,000.00 annuallyÂ
