Job description Do you enjoy working as a team member and take pride in accomplishing production excellence? Georgia Pacific in Muskogee, OK is hiring Machine Operators with forklift experience. This entry level position starts with an hourly rate of \$17.00 per hour with a raise after 4-6 weeks of training to \$18.00 and a competitive benefits package as well as lots of room for advancement. A Day in The Life Typically Includes: Safely working on and around Converting machinery. Safely operating machinery and or forklifts to complete tasks. Working in a teamwork environment with supervisors and other associates to complete tasks in a fast-paced production atmosphere. Perform manual labor tasks to assist the Converting department with important prep and clean-up work. Working on machines with a mechanical and electrical aptitude to troubleshoot issues and make corrections before issues arise. What You Will Need: Basic Qualifications: Willing and able to adhere to safety rules and regulations with or without reasonable accommodation Willing and able to operate mobile equipment and stationary machinery. Willing and able to work in a hot, cold, dusty, and noisy industrial environment. This position is labor intensive. Willing to work a 7am-3pm Monday -Friday and OT on Saturday for training and then 12 hr rotating shift schedule including days, nights, and weekends with extended off days. Willing and able to wear the necessary Personal Protection equipment (PPE) (i.e. safety glasses, face shield, respirator, ear plugs, hearing protection, steel-toe boots or safety shoes and other PPE required by specific jobs) with or without reasonable accommodation What Will Put You Ahead? Preferred Qualifications: A minimum of one (1) year in industrial machining or factory employment Six (6) months or more of forklift experience A minimum of one (1) year of continuous employment within the past five (5) years.
