BAE Systems Quality Inspector III - 1st Shift (Mon-Thurs, 5:00am-3:30pm) in Nashua, New Hampshire

In this Quality Inspection III role, you will perform In-Process and Final Inspection operations on microwave modules utilizing a microscope for the majority of the workday. Using predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to visually inspect moderate to complex assemblies and subassemblies to ensure compliance to applicable quality specifications and standards. Work from blueprints, diagrams, regulatory and BAE specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. You will receive intense training to become a certified inspector utilizing MIL-STD-883 criteria to inspect microwave modules. Microwave elements include MMICs, resistors, diodes, caps, substrates and all bonding types (gold wire and ribbon), which are inspected in accordance with MIL-STD-883. This role will be performed full-time onsite because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular job. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • High School Degree or GED equivalent.

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • English literacy is required to ensure the candidate will be capable of following process instructions and safety guidelines.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Capable of utilizing a microscope for the majority of the working shift.

  • Computer literate and able to navigate with Microsoft Office and production related software.

  • Minimum of 2 years with inspecting electronic devices in accordance with written specifications.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a electronics manufacturing environment.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience inspecting microelectronic devices in accordance with military specification like MIL-STD-883 and IPC-A-610.

  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems and audit procedures.

  • Ability to read assembly drawings, schematics, BOMs, ECOs, process sheets and other related documentation used for the inspection of components, assemblies and subassemblies.

  • Experience tracking factory hardware and documenting non-conformances in Manufacturing Execution Systems like SAP and Solumina.

  • Ability to interface with engineering regarding technical issues, process changes, and improvements.

  • Understanding of FAI process and AS9102 requirements.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $54560 - $87340

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
