Job Responsibilities:

Work with product developers on the design qualification and validation of electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems over a wide spectrum of applications and environments to improve the design quality of innovative lift trucks and material handling equipment. Evaluate electro-mechanical systems including software controls. Elicit product and system level functional test requirements and perform analysis of test results.

• Test Automation - Advance and implement tools to automate development and test processes to improve the validation and verification of innovative products.

• System Test Planning – Work with systems development and engineering product teams to refine requirements. Propose system testing required to validate and qualify the product per its defined requirements.

• System Evaluation - Perform analysis of system to ensure that performance goals are met and the integrity of design is maintained while conforming to Company and industry standards. Design specific testing to evaluate system design integrity and performance. Review and evaluate test results. Properly document system requirements, system test plans, and test results. Assess and document test progress with respect to plans and communicate this information to others for critical review and decision-making.

• Other Tasks - Support other functional groups such as purchasing, legal, service, manufacturing, and product engineering when warranted.

Onsite Work: A reasonable commute is necessary since mostly onsite work is required. Crown offers limited hybrid remote work for this position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Vehicle Systems Engineering; or Associate degree with 6+ years specifically related experience

• Good verbal and written communication, organizational skills, relevant math, computer, and analytical skills

• Ability to occasionally travel with overnight stays

• Reliable transportation to travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 or more years of experience testing embedded systems strongly preferred (Salary will be commensurate with experience)

• Experience with Project Coordination when communicating testing objectives to various levels of stakeholders in a development project

• Knowledge of modeling and simulation tools for system design and analysis

• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Model In Loop (MIL), Hardware In Loop (HIL) and Vector tools

• Experience with C, C++, Python

• Experience with task management and version control (JIRA, GitHub)
