Overall Position Focus:
Maintenance is responsible for the specific maintenance needs of all production machine tools, as well as any assembly or building maintenance that may be needed.
Perform maintenance functions in all areas with a primary focus on one of the following: machines (CNC and conventional, etc.), assembly [building of test fixtures as well as assembly equipment (packaging, air tools, etc.), and building (heating, air-conditioning, cooling tower, etc.).
Assist other maintenance personnel when requested. Will work with teams to get the job done. Friendly and approachable. Communicate clearly to achieve company goals.
Show leadership in solving problems and offer ideas and suggestions for improvements.
Order all repair parts and stock as needed.
Be able to work with maintenance software.
Self-starter and work with a minimum amount of supervision.
Understand and promote safety in the shop. Continuously practice safe work habits to keep accidents from happening. Aware of safety requirements to safely work alone, as well as in conjunction with other maintenance staff. (Lock out/Tag out procedures, etc.)
All maintenance personnel must provide their own hand tools such as sockets, pliers, screw drivers, wrenches, etc.
Work with vibrating tools such as: impact wrenches and tools.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems in equipment and correct repairs in a timely manner.
Work with high voltage electricity safely.
Communicate well with others in the Maintenance Department, as well as other departments.
Maintain standards in quality and to achieve daily requirements.
Follows 5S practices. Actively supports lean and continuous improvement activities.
Education and Experience:
High school education or equivalent and two years of directly related work experience. Must have knowledge of PLC’s and be able to program and troubleshoot them.
Continually upgrade skills and learn new technologies.
Must have a broad-based technical training or equivalent demonstrable experience in:
f) building systems
g) blueprint and schematic readings
