Employer: Moody’s Analytics, Inc.Title: Asst Dir-DevOps EngineerLocation: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007 (Principal place of business - telecommuting permitted)Duties: Automate processes that are required to deploy, manage, configure, and scale AWS Cloud based applications. Implement and manage build and deployment patterns for application deployments across organization. Provide support to developers while monitoring and debugging deployment and application issues. Ensure secure and highly available artifact management. Work collaboratively with team to ensure successful delivery and implementation of assigned application build and deployment and monitor tasks corresponding to business objectives. Build dedicated serverless applications aimed at monitoring different infrastructure components. Design, develop, and test continuous integration and deployment pipelines for faster and reliable deployment of a wide range of software applications using various programming languages and services, including Python, and PowerShell. Develop CDK applications using Python to deploy AWS Services to enhance reliability and security of deployed resources. Build logging and monitoring systems using Python, SQL, and other AWS Services. Develop scripts for building and managing Jfrog platform architecture to support storing multiple package types. Develop Lambda scripts in Python using Boto3 library to automatically cleanup unused resources across multiple AWS accounts. Design deployment strategies for software applications to increase application availability and reduce deployment risk. Develop highly secure storage programs for storing and deploying software licenses, keys, and passwords. Automate process of managing and provisioning infrastructure for developing and hosting applications in AWS cloud using CloudFormation and YAML. Perform source code management in Git. Support, debug, and upgrade existing pipelines to onboard new users and add additional functionalities as per changing requirements of applications. Thoroughly design user manual for pipelines in Confluence to help deliver self-serviceable products to users. Telecommuting Permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.).Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Must have academic training or experience with the following: performing software development and designing technical solutions; analyzing complex technical issues and processes to identify and understand requirements, and develop solutions; applying knowledge of cloud and network engineering, application programming, database systems, and software development life cycle (SDLC), including Agile Development Methodology; preprocessing and extracting information from multiple data sources to perform analytic operations and data visualizations; designing functions and programs using various data structures and algorithms that reduce time complexity; understanding concepts of object oriented programming and utilizing them while developing applications; deploying and managing resources in Amazon AWS; performing scripting and automation using Shell, Python, PowerShell, and YAML; working with source control management, including Git; working with micro-services, Docker, API’s, python libraries, and database systems; and using programming languages, including SQL and NoSQL. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.).For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $115,918 to $184,950, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
