Title: Lab Technician

Location: New York, NY

Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Pay: $26.00/hour

Type: Contract

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to all aspects of analytical assay development, from design to qualification, for our AAV-based drugs.

• Contribute to the development and qualification of new molecular bioassays for AAVs including titer, genomic integrity, and next-generation sequencing assays.

• Perform testing in support of Prevail’s AAV programs using techniques such as ddPCR, agarose gel electrophoresis, and NGS.

• Analyze, document, and report data.

• Write technical reports and SOPs.

• Communicate data within the group as well as across functions.

  Qualifications:

• BS or MS with 2+ years of lab experience with molecular biology techniques.

• A skill set which may include qPCR/ddPCR, next-generation sequencing, spectrophotometry, gel/capillary electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE/Western blot, or others.

• Understanding of analytical method lifecycle of development, qualification, validation, and documentation is a plus.

• Prior experience with AAVs is a plus.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• A passion for learning, understanding, and advancing science.

• Motivation to learn new skills both inside and outside the lab.

• Ability to work independently and in a dynamic team environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
