Position Summary:

Join NJIT Career Development Services as a Marketing Data Analyst, where you'll play a crucial role in shaping our data management and analytics processes. Your expertise will drive informed decision-making and enhance operational efficiency through SQL optimization, automated data processing, data cleaning, visualization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Essential Functions:

  • Social Media Analytics: Analyze social media data to track engagement, audience demographics, and campaign effectiveness across various platforms.

  • Event Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to events, including attendance, feedback, and engagement metrics.

  • Marketing Strategy Optimization: Assist with the use of insights from social media and event data to refine marketing strategies and improve audience targeting.

  • KPI Analytics: Work closely with the Student Services team to identify opportunities for increasing student engagement, collect data, and analyze and interpret data to make recommendations for improvement.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the office team to review marketing data and propose recommendations to increase student engagement for all career resources provided by the Career Development Services office.

Prerequisite Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Management, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field preferred.

  • Experience with automated data processing frameworks (e.g., Python, R).

  • Familiarity with data cleaning techniques and tools for data organization.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

  • At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

29 hours per week, flexible schedule within standard office hours (Monday to Thursday).
