Elevance Health .NET Business Information Developer in NORFOLK, Virginia

The .NET Business Information Developer is responsible for assisting with the development and execution of data mining analyses to enhance reporting functionality and identify data relationships and patterns.

Location: Norfolk, VA (preferred). This position will work in a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without current or future sponsorship requirements.

How you will make an impact:

  • Creates and maintains databases to track business performance.

  • Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures.

  • Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g., for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.

  • Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.

  • Devise the best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data for business issues that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.

  • Make recommendations based on data analysis.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BS/BA degree; up to 2 years’ experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • 2 years of .NET developing experience strongly preferred.

  • 2 years of experience with SQL developing complex queries, querying data warehouse, relational strongly preferred.

  • Experience with Teradata or Snowflake.

  • Experience creating dashboards, KPI scorecards, subscription reports, self-service, and ad hoc reports is strongly preferred.

  • Experience with SSRS and SSIS is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to manipulate large sets of data is strongly preferred.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are strongly preferred.

  • Prior experience supporting a ccounting/finance data analysis and reporting preferred

  • Experience in either a technical or functional area involving healthcare data analytics and report writing preferred.

  • Highly customer-oriented

  • Ability to provide clear explanations of information to technical and non-technical audiences.
