MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Systems Engineer IV shall:

  • Identify systems and products/components that require testing.

  • Design and execute robust test scenarios as part of project delivery.

  • Develop and implement test plans for individual phases of application and systems testing.

  • Collaborate, identify, design, and develop associated test cases.

  • Record test results, create defect records, and re-test fixes within project deadlines using MBSE tools.

  • Analyze application requirements and design documents to ensure understanding of interfaces and delivered components prior to test or evaluation.

  • Review vendor or sponsor provided documentation for system changes requiring initial evaluation or regression test.

  • Manage test case traceability and documentation.

  • Document observed risks and issues in a timely manner within existing risk frameworks. Document test cases using in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non- functional specifications.

  • Troubleshoot and problem solving of any issues arising in testing. Devise and apply testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors

  • Must demonstrate strong technical acumen.

  • Expertise with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project)

  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communications skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work both independently as well as part of an Integrated Product Team.

  • Ability to multitask and produce quality products.

  • Ability to use MATLAB, Python, or C++ to produce system modeling and simulation

Required Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering plus 10 years’ experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 14 years’ experience.

  • IT experience overseeing the creation of hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance.

  • Individual shall have experience integrating various network operating systems, application programs and hardware devices through system specification, design, coding, testing and maintenance support.

  • Experience analyzing cost, schedule, and performance impacts to project performance

Preparing and delivering presentations/briefing and have experience being the task lead/manager. Demonstrated experience in Radio Frequency, Satellite Systems, and GNSS Receivers.

  • ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level Test Analyst (CTAL-TA), ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL), or working towards.
