ITW Software Engineer in North Mankato, Minnesota

The software engineer is responsible for the successful implementation of modifications to existing software projects and for the analysis, design, development and implementation of new software projects to facilitate the sales and marketing of AWTX instrumentation and products. Must have self-motivation with a desire for continual education of their own skills
What You Will Do
You will be a natural problem solver, being both capable and experienced of taking an analytical approach as well as being proactive in suggesting and implementing changes required to deliver a high level of service to both internal departments and external customers.
You will be positive, extremely flexible and able to work well under pressure and to targets and deadlines, being able to demonstrate levels of flexibility in working hours and attitude towards changing role demands.
You will react instinctively to changes in demand and have the strength and conviction to make decisions on the go, being able to communicate these in an efficient, effective and easily understood manner.
You must be a strong hands-on team player but also be able to work independently and on your own initiative.
You will be cost and margin conscious in your decision-making processes and be able to understand and react quickly to customer expectations.
Essential Functions and Key Duties
Respond to customer inquiries regarding the feasibility of software modifications to maintain and promote customer satisfaction and sales.
Reverse engineer existing software projects when required to fix or add features to a product.
Develop and design custom software for existing products.
Assists with testing, debugging, and documentation of programs.
Knowledge, Skills, Education Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical or Computer Engineering.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge
Passion and understanding of electronics, and solving problems for people
