This position is responsible for the operation of 3-5 axis CNC millsin a job shop environment.Duties include machining complex surfaces on large metallic work pieces that require the ability to hold tight tolerances and alter feed and speed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 4 years' experience as a CNC Mill machinist Experience with Fanuc controllers. Experience working in metal manufacturing required. Must be able to work overtime regularly and weekends as needed. Experience working in a job shop environment highly preferred. Must be able to use precision measuring equipment to achieve tight tolerances. Must be able to communicate effectively and understand technical instructions. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet deadlines. Must be flexible and adaptable with regard to changing priorities and assignments. Must be highly organized and detail oriented with a dedication to quality.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability work in a machine shop environment with some noise level (below 80db), stand for prolonged periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to see, hear, communicate verbally, reach, grasp, apply force with arms/hands, walk, stoop, bend, kneel and climb steps. Exposure to some hazardous chemicals and airborne machining fluids mist.
