Intern - Position and Responsibilities As an Intern with Middough, you will become an integral part of a project team(s) assisting with a variety of engineering processes and responsibilities based on the Internship engineering discipline assignment. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: May learn, participate in, or assist with project tasks and technical execution of projects with focus on quality, scope, budget, and schedule. Interact with other departments, Interns, and project teams to obtain and assist with pertinent project information and tasks. May participate in projects with pressure relief analysis, flare system design and documentation, Process Flow Drawing (PFD), and P&ID development. May learn AutoCAD 2D, AutoCAD 3D, REVIT, BlueBeam/Visio, Navisworks, and Newforma. Education, Experience and Skills The successful Intern candidate will possess the following: Currently enrolled and working towards an associate degree or Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering. Ability to learn new technology efficiently. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office products. Ability to multi-task and be highly organized. Excellent attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge or ability to learn one or several of the following: AutoCAD 2D AutoCAD 3D REVIT BlueBeam/Visio Navisworks Newforma Physical Requirements The characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position. While performing duties of this position, the successful candidate will: Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Frequently walk, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop or kneel, use repeating motions that may include the wrists/hands/fingers and talk and hear. Frequently use up-close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus. Should not expect adverse environmental conditions within company offices. May be exposed to dverse environmental conditions (such as climbing ladders and/or stairs, extreme heat and/or cold, and/or poor air quality) if or when on-site at a client facility. Noise levels may be moderate to high at various client sites, hearing protection may be required and/or provided. Safety protections to be provided by the client and/or company and are required to be used and followed. May require occasional car or air travel to other company locations or client sites. This position requires the candidate/employee to possess and maintain a valid driver's license in their state of residence. Middough participates in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Social Security Administration (SSA) E-Verify program to confirm work authorization.
