Microsoft Corporation Senior Finance Manager in Redmond, Washington

The Supply Chain Planning Team is responsible for build plans and cost curve optimization of hardware products, manufacturing capacity decisions/trade-offs, new product launch execution, inventory management of hardware components and finished goods, and product lifecycle management.

We are currently looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join the team. in this role you will partner closely with Surface, XBOX and Innovation Supply Chain Planning team to manage cost, right-sizing inventory, and enable scale. The successful candidate will need to be a self-starter with leadership skills and cross-group collaboration skills. They will need to be comfortable communicating at all levels and be comfortable with ambiguity

Responsibilities

  • Lead the right financial discussions and decisions during Supply and Demand reviews

  • Develop inventory plans in conjunction with Supply Chain to drive optimal inventory health

  • Participate in key decisions related to factory capacity, inventory levels and strategic inventory evaluations

  • Advise the management teams on financial impact of various alternatives and recommend preferred course of action

  • Support creation of Operating models and inventory assumptions used in budget, quarterly forecasts and long-range planning

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

  • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Analytical, strategic thinking and financial modeling capabilities

  • Ability to communicate complex analysis in a simple way.

  • Leadership skills, with demonstrated results in proactively driving and delivering value/ impactful project results

  • Self-starter driving decision support in ambiguous environments

  • Partnering capabilities, with the ability to influence others without direct authority and appropriately push back when required

  • Comfort working at multiple altitudes, from strategic/high-level projects to detailed analysis

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines, quickly prioritize for impact and the resourcefulness to deliver

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $91,800 - $178,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $117,900 - $195,000 per year.
