Providence St. Joseph Health Executive Director - Value Based Care in Renton, Washington

Description THE ROLE This role will be responsible for the design, implementation, and performance of value based care programs across PCN. These programs include new membership growth, financial and clinical performance, and the development of reporting systems and management structures to support the expanded organizational focus on performance on value based performance. In order to be successful, they will need to partner with Population Health, Contracting, and other Clinical and Medical Group leadership. Value based programs include all programs that have value based incentives and all networks managed by the physician enterprise including delegated networks and CINs. Leads People: Creates and communicates a clear vision for the ministry. Implements and adapts managerial and staffing plans focused on the selection, retention, accountability and development of people to achieve Affiliate network goals and objectives. Focuses on improving the effectiveness of employees and the management team. Empowers staff to identify and resolve issues, identify ways to impact efficient operations, and to take accountability for patient care and service quality. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Partners with Population Health executives like Population Health Analytics and Payor Contracting Partners with PCN CEs and CFOs Develops standard metrics of success and facilitates the propagation of best practices Oversee the administrative structure to ensure both efficient and cost effective contribution at every stage of the healthcare delivery process Collaborates with physician leadership committees and boards to maximize appropriate physician input Promoting a strong, values-based organizational culture. Achieves Financial Goals: Establishes operating and capital budgets, develops and implements fiscal monitoring tools, and establishes ministry-wide processes to ensure annual and long-term financial objectives are met. Changes: Innovates, improves, and problem solves to further the goals and achieve the operating and strategic plans of the ministry. Strategically Supports: Analyzes events and trends and develops sound, workable solutions in response to ministry needs. Uses communication, teaching, and influence skills to improve the performance of the ministry. Improves the understanding of others throughout the organization. Collaborates with others on projects and objectives. Knowledge: Maintains current base of knowledge as applicable to area of responsibility. Ensures that regular performance feedback is given to employees and managers. In addition, ensures that periodic formal employee performance evaluations are conducted in a fair and timely manner. Reinforces a mutual understanding of performance requirements. Maintains accessibility for direct reports and structures spans of influence to ensure the care deliver model is effective and cost efficient. Spends time working with the management team to improve manager / employee relationships. Performs all other duties as assigned. Treats all information and data within the scope of the position with complete confidentiality and security. Maintains all practices to protect PHI and follow HIPAA guidelines. Cooperates fully in all risk management activities and investigations. Is knowledgeable of, observes and complies with hospital Codes of Safe Practice, safety policies and emergency procedures. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, Business, or similar Master's Degree in Health Care Administration, Business, or similar (preferred)
