GREENLEAF CORPORATION OD Operator in Saegertown, Pennsylvania

Summary:  An OD Operator operates OD grinders and selected CNC machining equipment for the production of machined carbide and ceramic cutting tips to precision tolerances on support grinders. Pre-set and maintain tooling and equipment.

*Duties & Responsibilities: *

  • Read and interpret router, blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, set-up procedures, control settings and machining methods and sequences.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
  • Load media in machine controller or enter commands to retrieve preprogrammed instructions from database.
  • Calulate and set machine controls.
  • Mount, align and secure tooling, attachments and work piece. Select and install grinding wheels.
  • Start and monitor display and machine operation.
  • Verify dimensions of finished work pieces to specificiations.
  • Visually inspect all parts for missing or incomplete operations.
  • Perform equipment maintenance.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with safety, qualify and housekeeping procedures

Hours: 40 - M-F; Day, Evening, Night shifts
