Job Description

Seeking Production Managers! - Permanent Position!

The ideal candidate has an in-depth understanding of the full life cycle of product manufacturing with acute attention to detail and process. To be successful in this position, the candidate must be able to work with multiple leads in order to coordinate efforts and meet shipment deadlines. This requires strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities. The Production Manager will also supervise the lab staff and manage production resources to ensure efficiency. The successful candidate will be very flexible and focused on production.

Duties

  • Responsible for ensuring quality and viable products through sourcing, managing production resources, and process integrity.

  • Works with management and team leads to assess required resources in order to control the production pipeline.

  • Communicates production schedule to respective production area leads including the lab, prototype area, machine shop, inventory and materials, and procurement.

  • Plans production layout for efficiency and ease of coordination.

  • Responsible for meeting deliverable deadlines by managing production process, ensuring next steps are communicated and holding staff accountable.

  • Work with QA to implement quality assurance and testing in production phase as needed.

  • Mentor and develop staff to ensure maximum performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences or related discipline

  • 3-5 years of hands on engineering and project management experience

  • Familiar with full cycle development process preferred

  • Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred

Competencies

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Highly organized including scheduling and follow through

  • Patience when managing others

  • Strong verbal and written communication using the English language

  • Understands directives and takes initiative to complete assignments

  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing best practices

Special Requirements

  • Must be willing and able to obtain a security clearance
