Senior Accountant

Currently working with a global high growth technology public company that is looking for a Senior Accountant that can support the corporate accounting team with global accounting, GL, month-end close, process improvement and systems automation projects, as well as procure to pay accounting process. Qualified candidates will have 4+ years of processive accounting experience, including public company experience, strong systems and global accounting experience. responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the monthly accounting close including preparing journal entries, analyzing and explaining fluctuations, and providing meaningful financial reporting.

• Supporting Procure to Payment process, including three-way matching, coding of invoices, responses to vendor inquiries, resolving payment issues and discrepancies

• Process various types of accounts payable transactions including vendor invoices, recurring payments, and manual check requests in accordance with the policies and procedures

• Understand relevant accounting principles and communicate such principles to peers and business partners.

• Analyze current procedures and make recommendations to develop and drive process improvements to achieve efficiency and scalability.

• Support external audit processes and create improvements for any inefficiencies identified.

• Assist in implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP.

qualifications:

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience.

• A solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.

• Advanced MS Excel skills and experience.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in a technology or high growth company operating in a SOX environment

• CPA
