UPDATE: (10/22/18) Search for candidates being proficient in WPF , C# , C++ and Visual Basic 6.0 (VB6).
As a part of the LC-MS software R&D team, the candidate's main focus will be the design and implementation of quality software for the Windows development environment.
As senior software engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining several key software technologies. The individual should be self-motivated, creative and proactive, to work successfully in a fast-paced environment including multiple platforms and architectures, diverse technologies and lab environments. The individual will work closely with other R&D software developers. The individual should have a very good understanding of C# programming and .NET. Working knowledge in C++ and/or Python is a plus. Hands-on experience in multi-core programming is recommended. Familiarization with Agile Software Development methods and practices is recommended.
Develop software for our data acquisition software package running on Windows operating system
Participate in code review sessions with other SW engineers to ensure high quality SW implementations
Ensure that found defects and enhancement requests are clearly documented in our defect tracking system
Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
3+ years of experience as software engineer using C# and .NET
Good verbal and written communication skills
Very good team player working well with other engineers and scientists
Available for flexible work schedule
