Software Developer-Santa Clara, CA

Use your experience as a Software Developer and join our Software and Informatics Division (SID). This team produces the world's leading software for managing laboratory instrumentation, results processing, electronic content management, and business process workflows. In addition, we provide a platform architecture for automation of the entire lab.

In this role your responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing enterprise solutions to support instrument control software.

  • Incorporating leading edge technology into our software products

  • Working in a scrum team and collaborating with global development teams

  • BS Degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5+ years of experience in hands on software design and development: strong WCF .NET applications

  • Proficient in programming in C# and .NET

  • Understanding of client/server architecture with a focus on WAN deployments

  • Experience with automated testing tools

  • Worked in an Agile development environment such as Scrum, TDD, BDD, Unit Testing, Test Automation, Test Complete, and Specflow

  • Knowledge of continuous integration with Jenkins, Maven, and GIT

  • Experience with containerized and cloud deployments is a plus (ex: Kubernetes, Docker, AWS)

  • Deep understanding of object oriented programming methodologies

  • Understanding of Microsoft Windows

  • Experience with containerized and cloud deployments is a plus (ex: Kubernetes, Docker, AWS)

  • Familiarity with JavaScript, Angular and/or React is a plus

  • Some experience Web-based applications and Web Services is desirable

  • Track record of success in meeting project timelines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team
