Production Supervisor

We have a rewarding opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join our team in Santa Clarita, CA

As our Production Supervisor you will supervise the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. You will be responsible for prioritizing production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. You will control capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor and develop schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.

Location : Santa Clarita, CA

Salary Information: $71,300.00 - $95,050.00 per year

Your Challenge:

  • Assign and supervise the work of production employees to meet all quality requirements and production schedules.

  • Review schedules and adjust workflow to meet schedule requirements and minimize downtime while ensuring that work assignments are performed to manufacturing and quality procedures.

  • Enforce company policies, safety rules, and good housekeeping.

  • Interview applicants and make recommendations on the hiring of new employees.

  • Review and approve employee time entries in the HRIS and Financial Accounting Systems.

  • Provide employee coaching through formal check-ins on a quarterly basis.

  • Evaluate performance of all employees and take corrective action when appropriate.

  • Responsible for retention and engagement of direct reports.

  • Oversee the completion of employee development plans and assigned training.

  • Manage direct and indirect Labor costs Arrange for maintenance repairs of equipment and tools.

  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

What you Bring:

  • Minimum 4 years in a manufacturing environment with increasing responsibilities

  • Supervisory experience

  • High School or equivalent. Associate’s Degree or Technical/Trade School Diploma are preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills;

  • Excellent organization, planning, problem solving and decision making skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
