Nordstrom Senior Transportation System Analyst - HYBRID in Seattle, Washington

Job Description

Nordstrom is embarking on a journey to modernize and integrate our transportation systems including a new Transportation Management System. In this role, you will help drive significant system and process changes as we modernize our supply chain.

As the Sr. Transportation System Analyst, you will be responsible for building, developing, and maintaining the Transportation Management System for Nordstrom Supply Chain. This person will leverage their end-to-end business understanding, technical and leadership skills to elevate transportation standards by unlocking new capabilities and driving continuous process improvements to support operations and the changing business.

This individual will be a key member of Supply Chain Transportation and will be working with various Cross Functional Stakeholders. Nordstrom wants someone who is motivated, results oriented, can communicate effectively, and committed to providing outstanding customer service.

A day in the Life….

Operational Excellence & Support

  • Serve as a super user and subject matter expert (SME) for our Transportation Management System (TMS).

  • Partner with stakeholders within the supplier community, carrier network, distribution centers, stores and merchandising to maintain flow of goods systematically.

  • Partners with Operation and Sourcing to configure and maintain all Master Data and Business Rules within the Transportation Management System

  • Serve as the first point of escalation and troubleshooting support when there are system failures.

  • Work closely with other members of the Transportation team to maximize operational efficiencies and cost savings.

Training

  • Partners with stakeholders in the Supplier Community for Vendor Onboarding and training within the TMS

  • Lead and implement Carrier Onboarding and Training within the TMS

  • Creation and maintenance of TMS User Training Documentations

  • Initialize accounts for new users within the TMS and conduct orientation sessions.

Project and Continuous Improvements

  • Manage and drive projects related to TMS functionality and new capabilities.

  • Leads and supports TMS functionality testing and implementations.

  • Utilize technical expertise to advance our technological capabilities and maintain our competitive edge.

You own this if you have….

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or a related discipline

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Transportation for both inbound and outbound transportation

  • Experience working with a Transportation Management System (TMS)

  • Exceptional technical knowledge, particularly in areas relevant to transportation technologies and systems.

  • Strong Critical and Analytical approach to solving problems independently in ambiguous situations with limited direction.

  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional stakeholders, including demonstrated success in managing without direct authority.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $87,500 - $145,500 Annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
