We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a User Experience Designer.

You will join a team in its early stages of product development and have the opportunity to create the customer experience from the ground up for a portfolio of new internal products. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated person interested in taking a leadership role in setting the design direction for innovative and intuitive internal web applications. As a UX designer, you will have a significant impact on the user experience touching nearly every Amazon line of business. You have comprehensive understanding of the current state of web technology and best practices, with a critical awareness of implications on user-centered design and functionality.

Prior experience working with enterprise UX design is a plus!

Key job responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Simplify and distill complex business processes into intuitive and elegant UIs.

  • Create process flows, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, and visual design specifications (redlines) to effectively communicate high-level design strategies and detailed interaction behaviors.

  • Drive the development and communication of design guidelines and patterns, with focus on providing a consistent and intuitive experience across the product portfolio.

  • Work with internal stakeholders to create powerful data analysis tools.

  • Handle multiple projects in an agile, fast-paced environment.

About the team

The Amazon Financial Foundation Services (AFFS) team is dedicated to empowering Amazon businesses with robust financial management capabilities. We are building the next generation of cloud-based core financial management suites that deliver complete, accurate, timely, and auditable financial records. Our solutions streamline financial reporting, operational processes (planning, analysis, accounts payable, accounts receivable), tax compliance, statutory reporting, regulatory compliance, and managerial decision-making.

We focus on creating intuitive user experiences that leverage the power of AI, ML and LLMs. By harnessing these advanced technologies, we expedite financial business processes for Amazon stakeholders enabling them to operate with unparalleled efficiency and effectiveness.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience

  • Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices

  • Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes

  • Experience with UX design of complex workflows

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
