Material Handler

1st Shift (M-F 7am – 3:30pm)

What You’ll Do

Manually move/process product through processes at a productive rate, maintaining quality levels according to ISO procedures, and using safe work ethic (PPE, MSDS and machine hazards). (74%)

Accurate updating of all move tags and piece counts. Including weekly cycle counts as assigned (8%)

Responsible to ask about possible problems which may be perceived. (2%)

Report any abnormal situations including incorrect labeling, new product, and conveyor downtime. (2%)

Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment. (10%)

Performs other related duties as assigned by management. (4%)

Overtime required as scheduled to support manufacturing and inventory control.

Who You Are

Ability to safely and properly drive a Powered Industrial Truck and Tugger Vehicle.

Basic computer skills.

Basic knowledge of tolerance and quality inspection procedures.

Ability to pay close attention to detail.

Able to lift, pull, push 50 pounds, operate pallet jack, and maneuver carts.

Ability to adjust PIV forks safely.

Reading control plans in English.

Ability to see to load and unload parts, read control plans, material tags, while operate PIV safely.

Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers and be aware of environment for safe PIV operation.

Must be able to stand to load and unload parts, and to inspect and balance check blades; mobility to move from process to process.

Must be able to twist for in either direction to reverse drive PIV and look over should continuously when backing up and operating PIV.

Must be able to stoop or kneel to pick up materials from floor.

Must be able to step up, into and out of PIV safely.

Must be able to load/unload parts, check parts, write, and operator PIV controls.

Reading and updating move tags.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.
