Job Overview:

Looking for a full-time medical receptionist in a busy, free-standing, outpatient physical therapy office in Hillsborough, NJ that is part of a large hospital system. Individual must be able to multi-task and enjoy patient interaction in person and on the phone. Responsibilities include greeting/scheduling patients, answering phone, checking/replying to email, filing, faxing, taking payments, and other general office duties.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

• Customer service experience

• High School diploma

• Previous medical office experience and experience working with insurance verifications

Scheduling Requirements:

• Day Shift

• Full-Time

Essential Functions:

• Greets patients and visitors as soon as they approach the desk in a courteous manner

• Offers assistance and provides accurate information and directions

• Exhibits friendly and helpful behavior by anticipating and responding to the needs of patients and visitors

• Exhibits proficiency in computer use

• Ensures that visitors and callers receive accurate information.

• Answers telephone calls promptly and appropriately

• Adheres to department policy regarding transferring calls and disseminating patient information

• Demonstrates telephone courtesy and positive guest relations skills

• Demonstrates good communication and customer service skills as they relate to the patient population served i.e.: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric
