DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION SERVICES
SUMMARY : Manages all aspects of the technical services function including network, tele-communications, computer hardware, and systems software to best support corporate objectives and directions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Performs long range planning for systems technical infrastructure for support and alignment of business objectives and growth expectations.
Performs long range planning for application infrastructure for support and alignment of business objectives and growth expectations.
Manages the day-to-day operations of the Application Development staff and the Technical Services staff.
Interfaces with corporate management on Information Services capabilities and requirements and corporate direction.
Manages the Information Services budget.
Administers and ensures compliance of corporate policies including safety, Affirmative Action, and Equal Employment Opportunity.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE : Bachelor's degree in business information systems, five years progressive systems development experience, and three years supervisory or management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, clients, and customers
