Department of Ecology Municipal Stormwater Permit Implementation Planner (Environmental Planner 3) (2 positions) in Spokane, Washington

The Water Quality Program *within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill two *Municipal Stormwater Permit Implementation Planner (Environmental Planner 3) positions. 

 

One position is located in our Central Region Office (CRO) in Union Gap, WA{rel="nofollow"}, and the second position is located in our Eastern Region Office (ERO) in Spokane, WA{rel="nofollow"}. Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.

 

Join our team leading water quality environmental planning and permitting in the Eastern and Central Regions of Washington state! In this role, you will be a key team member working with municipalities owning and maintaining a stormwater system to plan for necessary improvements and implement permit requirements. You will track important permit records, review submittals for compliance with environmental rules and laws, and conduct regular inspections and audits of municipal stormwater management programs. Experience in these positions will advance your career in environmental permit management, compliance, and inspection as an environmental planner.

Tele-work options for this position: *These positions will be required to work in the office (one at CRO and one at ERO) for the first month. After successful completion of required onboarding and training, they will then be eligible for up to a 90% tele-work schedule. *Applicants with questions about position location options, tele-work, and flexible or compressed schedules are encouraged to reach out to the contact person listed below in "other information."
