The EV Charging Electrical Engineer will be a design engineer for new and ongoing EV charging projects. This role requires the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously. Additionally, this role requires excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to problem solve. Role includes working in small project teams to provide exceptional customer service and quality in deliverables to our clients. Responsibilities Essential Duties & Responsibilities (including, but not limited to): Prepare construction drawings, documents, calculations, and studies for EV Charging Projects. Responsible for technical delivery of engineering projects or tasks. You will prepare calculations, studies, and reports for projects meeting internal and client standards and requirements. Apply engineering design principles and practices including formulas. Work with small project teams to execute EV Charging Projects. Be self-motivated and focused on meeting client expectations and do what needs to be done to get the job completed. Work together effectively with other highly productive team members. Responsible for providing weekly updates to Sr. team leaders and/or project managers on milestone progress, estimated completion dates including percent completion of activities and supporting information to monitor project progress. Able to fulfill assignments that require independent judgment and evaluation. Travel to client sites as needed (approximately 10% travel is anticipated) Ability to properly document on-site information and conditions to incorporate into designs. Qualifications Three (3) to seven (7) years of experience in the EV Charging Industry. Proficient skills in both Level 2 and DCFC electrical design, from conceptual to construction level of design effort. Ability to interpret and apply codes and standards including NEC, IEEE, IEC, NESC, and client standards. Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple assignments under budget and time constraints. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work and communicate effectively with team members, clients and management teams across different geographical locations and time zones. Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills. Demonstrated technical writing and reporting skills. Proficiency with MS Office applications. Experience with power system calculations (e.g., AC panel sizing, Voltage Drop, Cable Sizing, Conduit Fill) Capable of developing detailed construction documents and drawings based on concepts, verbal direction and/or sketches preferred.
