Scholarship America Receptionist (Part-Time afternoons in Saint Peter, MN) in St. Peter, Minnesota

The Receptionist role is often the first person our constituents (clients, students, parents, vendors) speak with, both in-person as well as over the phone. This position has great responsibility in providing constituents with a positive and productive impression of Scholarship America. We are looking to have two team members share the weekly afternoon schedule of 12:00 pm - 4:30 pm in our Saint Peter office. Schedules are determined by the middle of the month for the next month's cycle based on shared availability by the receptionist staff members of 2-3 days each week based on other commitments. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Timely and efficiently answer all incoming calls and route them to the appropriate individuals using a switchboard phone system Transfer voicemail messages left at switchboard to the proper extension within the organization Greet and welcome visitors and vendors and follow the organization's building access policy Provide general information about the organization to callers and direct them to the company website as necessary Keep reception area presentable at all times Document general feedback to ensure proper escalation and follow up to the appropriate stakeholder or contact Conduct general administrative tasks, when time allows including photocopying, scanning, and collating of documents Establishes, maintains, processes and/or updates files, records, and/or other documents Open and sort mail Serves as the back-up to the Mailroom as needed: Prepare outgoing mail for delivery to Post Office Prepare outgoing UPS/Federal Express packages for pickup Assist in project mailings Make deliveries to Post Office as necessary REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Regular & timely attendance to support business and client needs Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills where ability has been demonstrated to work efficiently, effectively and cooperatively with other people Highly organized, strong attention to detail in order to produce the highest quality work, including follow up and follow through Ability to communicate, listen to and understand information and ideas presented Ability to analyze information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems Strong command of the English language, with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, including grammar, spelling and punctuation Proficiency using the MS Office Suite primarily Outlook, Word, and Excel PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: One to three years related experience Two year degree in business or related field of study Experience using a phone call transferring system Pay range - Hourly: $12.78 - $16.00 - $19.23 This is the pay range for our staff in this position, from entry to fully independent and proficient in the role utilizing our propriety systems and processes. The candidate selected for this position will be offered a wage applicable to their background and skill set as aligned to our business. This will result in an initial offer between $12.78 - $15.00 an hour for this position. We are an equal opportunity employer.
