Vontier Marketing Promotions Analyst (1-2 years experience) in Stow, Ohio

This position will be based at our headquarters in Stow, Ohio and work on a hybrid schedule: Tuesdays through Thursdays in office, and from home Mondays and Fridays.

Role Overview: As a Marketing Promotions Analyst, you’ll be at the forefront of driving our promotional strategy through the Matco Tools Connect technician mobile app. Your analytical prowess and strategic thinking will directly impact our success. WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Strategic Promotional Planning

  • Own the Promotional Strategy: Manage all aspects of Matco’s promotional initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align promotions with business goals.

  • Data-Driven Insights: Design and implement reporting tools that track key metrics and performance trends. Provide actionable insights to marketing leadership for informed decision-making.

  • Quantitative Analysis and Modeling

  • Unlock Opportunities: Develop quantitative models to optimize promotional decisions. Dive into purchase patterns, price elasticity, usage, and engagement data.

  • Maximize Revenue and Margin: Leverage your analytical skills to fine-tune promotions, ensuring optimal revenue and margin outcomes.

  • Operational Excellence

  • Vontier Business Systems (VBS): Utilize VBS and other analysis tools daily. Drive mix and margin improvements across promotional processes.

  • Pricing Accuracy: Maintain accurate pricing for all promotional activities, ensuring consistency and competitiveness.

  • Collaborative Approach

  • Team Player: Work closely with Product Management, Sales, and Purchasing Agents. Advise on product launches and address relevant concerns.

  • Promotional Vehicles: Assist in coordinating National Flyers, District Sales Meetings, and the Annual Tool Expo.

Career Progressions / Promotable To:

Promotions Manager: Within 3 years, you’ll have the opportunity to lead our promotions team.

Product Specialist or Digital Analyst: Explore other growth paths within 2 years.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Majors in Marketing, Statistics, Finance, or Management preferred.

  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience required, preferably in statistical marketing or an analyst role.

  • Skills:

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Proficiency in data reporting/mining software (Business Intelligence)

  • AS/400 experience a plus

  • Direct experience analyzing and synthesizing large data sets

  • Adaptability and Agility:
