Robert Half Medical Receptionist in Stratford, Connecticut

Description We are seeking a Medical Receptionist for our location in Trumbull, Connecticut. This role involves managing front desk operations in a medical office setting, handling communications with patients, and performing various administrative tasks. It offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage front desk operations, including answering phone calls and greeting patients

• Perform data entry tasks to update patient records and process information

• Communicate effectively with patients, providing information and assistance as needed

• Reach out to doctors' offices to coordinate services and facilitate patient care

• Engage in conversations with other medical personnel to ensure smooth operations

• Collect payments from patients and process credit card transactions

• File, fax, and distribute documents, ensuring proper organization and handling of paperwork

• Execute advanced planning tasks to ensure efficient scheduling and resource allocation

• Provide support to all clinicians in the office, aiding in administrative tasks as needed

• Utilize basic office skills to perform tasks efficiently and accurately. Requirements • Must have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Medical Receptionist

• Proficient in performing various receptionist duties

• Previous experience in a medical office is essential

• Ability to manage switchboards and handle phone lines efficiently

• Exceptional communication skills are required for this role

• Must be able to fax documents and handle filing tasks

• Should have experience in handling copays and collecting payments

• Must be proficient in processing credit card payments

• Basic office skills and data entry skills are necessary

• Ability to perform numeric data entry is essential

• Must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations would be advantageous

• Must be able to maintain patient confidentiality

• Proficiency in using medical software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent; further training in medical administration is a plus.
