C4ISR Sales Manager

Summary

Focus of this role is to ensure successful execution of high growth sales objectives within ADS' C4ISR business unit. The proper candidate will have the experience and ability to comfortably manage 5-10 outside (remote) sales professionals. This position will interface at all levels within the U.S. Government (USG) and internal/external C-suite stakeholders. A comprehensive understanding of goal setting, sales strategy, USG budgets and motivating successful teams is a must. The ideal candidate will possess a shrewd understanding of how to coach, mentor, train personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategy to and goal alignment to hit Revenues/Gross Profit targets
  • Set individual sales targets with sales team
  • Delegate responsibility for customer accounts to sales personnel
  • Coordinate action plans for individuals
  • Oversee sales activities and key performance indicators of the team
  • Ensure sales team has necessary resources to perform at extremely high level
  • Evaluate performance of sales staff providing timely and direct feedback to enhance growth
  • Plan and direct sales training; as required
  • Analyze and forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales figures
  • Assist in Budget preparation
  • Collaborate/mentor team on capture of largest business opportunities
  • Attend trade meetings and industry conventions
  • Cultivate effective business relationships with executive decision makers in key accounts Industry and USG

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (experience may be substituted at hiring manager's discretion)
  • Superb written and oral communication skills a must, extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel desired
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills required
  • 5-10 years' experience in commercial or USG sales
  • 5 years in management a plus
  • Experience in the following commodities a significant plus (Tactical and SATCOM Communications, ISR platforms, and IT)
  • 50-75% travel
